Who we are

Sarah Wilson is a Chartered Accountant with nearly 20 years experience specialising in Commerical Accounting, residing in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

In 2008, Sarah graduated from University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) majoring in Accounting. Since then, she has worked as an Accountant and Finance Manager leading finance departments within small to large organisations (Turnover up to $80m).

Sarah started out at PwC in Christchurch doing annual accounts and tax returns before branching off and spending 10 years in the commercial transport and warehousing industry (private and public sector), followed by the healthcare and social service industry (not-for-profit sector).

Sarah has used Xero day-to-day for the last 13 years, She has tried, tested and thrashed Xero to get the most out of the system (efficiencies). She has also had exposure to other accounting software, including converting accounting systems to Xero and vice versa.

Over Sarah’s career, she has had Finance Manager experience overseeing the day-to-day functions of finance teams. One of her other passions is training and coaching finance personnel, Senior Management and Executives from basic advice and guidance on using systems to interpreting and understanding financials. This enable’s decision makers to progress with financial confidence and drive strategic growth and operational success.

It doesn’t matter if your business has 1 or 600+ employees, large or small, profit or not for profit, every business is the same. Every business starts with an idea, offers a product or a service to the marketplace, want to ensure continuity and ability to grow.

Sarah’s strengths are problem solving, analysing data, teaching and being able to translate information into simple language.

When not focusing on the numbers, Sarah balances business with her family, a husband and two young children living in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
